  • LiFePO4 (Lithium iron phosphate) battery solar street lamps, as a new generation of outdoor lighting equipment, have become the preferred solution for lighting in scenarios such as roads, courtyards, and rural areas, thanks to the high safety and long lifespan of lithium iron phosphate batteries, combined with the clean and environmentally friendly features of solar power generation. The core lies in the efficient synergy of "solar photovoltaic panel power generation + LiFePO4 battery energy storage + LED light source lighting", while achieving multiple breakthroughs in stability, durability and economy. ​

  • Core Component Composition: The Key role of LiFePO4 batteries:
    The LiFePO4 battery solar street lamp is mainly composed of four core components. Among them, the lithium iron phosphate battery is the core of the energy storage system, directly determining the street lamp's endurance, service life and safety performance.
    Solar photovoltaic panel
    It usually adopts monocrystalline silicon or polycrystalline silicon materials, with a conversion efficiency of 18% to 24% (monocrystalline silicon is better), and a power range of 30W to 150W. It is matched with the power of street lamps according to the local sunshine duration (for example, if there is an average of 4 hours of sunshine per day, a 100W photovoltaic panel can meet the daily power supply of a 50W street lamp). Some high-end models are equipped with tempered glass panels that are resistant to wind and hail, making them suitable for complex outdoor environments. ​
    LiFePO4 battery (energy storage core)
    The capacity is generally 20Ah-100Ah, and the voltage is 12V or 24V. It is the core component that distinguishes it from traditional lead-acid battery solar street lamps. It adopts lithium iron phosphate cathode material, which has an olivine crystal structure and stable chemical properties. It can effectively avoid the risk of thermal runaway and has a cycle life far exceeding that of lead-acid batteries (usually 3,000 to 5,000 cycles, which is 3 to 5 times that of lead-acid batteries). ​
    LED light source
    Most of them are high-brightness LED modules with a luminous efficacy of 10W-100W, a luminous efficacy of 120-180lm/W, a color rendering index Ra≥70, and a color temperature of 3000K-6500K (warm white light is suitable for courtyards, and cold white light is suitable for main roads). Some models support intelligent dimming (such as human body sensing dimming and automatic light-sensing switch), further reducing energy consumption. ​
    Controller and inverter
    The controller is responsible for the charging management of photovoltaic panels (MPPT maximum power point tracking technology is preferred, increasing charging efficiency by 15% to 20%), battery overcharge and overdischarge protection, as well as the control of street lamp switches. The inverter (if it is an AC load) converts the direct current from the battery into alternating current, adapting to special lighting requirements.
