Latest company news about The difference between LED explosion-proof lights and ordinary high bay lights

Explosion-proof lamps are those lamps like metal halide lamps or high-pressure sodium, because this type of lamps and lanterns are high-pressure and high-temperature nature, there is a certain danger, and this kind of lamps and lanterns will be much safer to make explosion-proof.

But LED luminaires are different, they are cold light sources and there is no danger of breaking or exploding. So why should LED lamps be made explosion-proof? What is the difference between it and ordinary LED lights?

Explosion-proof lamps are mainly used in hazardous places where flammable gases and dusts are present to prevent combustion or explosion caused by arcing, sparks and high temperatures generated inside the luminaire. Avoid the activation of flammable gases and dusts in the surrounding environment due to the combustion or explosion of the lamp, so as to meet the explosion-proof requirements of the lamp. Explosion-proof lamps are also called explosion-proof lamps, explosion-proof lighting street lights, LED explosion-proof lights, and so on. Different flammable substances and gas mixtures have different requirements for the type and grade of explosion-proof lamps.

LED explosion-proof lamps and ordinary lamps can be intuitively seen from the surface, and most of the explosion-proof lamps are yellow in color (not excluding a few other colors). In terms of weight, the explosion-proof lamp is much heavier than the ordinary lamp, because the heat dissipation aluminum used in the explosion-proof lamp is thickened, in order to prevent the internal constant current source from being damaged to the protective shell after the problem. The explosion-proof types of conventional explosion-proof lamps are as follows.

1.Increased safety type e
Under normal operating conditions, the electrical equipment that will not produce arc and spark takes some additional measures to improve its safety, prevents its internal and external parts from having the possibility of dangerous temperature, arc and spark explosion-proof type, and further takes protective measures in the structure to improve the reliability performance and safety performance of the equipment.

2.Positive pressure type p
Electrical equipment protects static positive pressure inside the system or maintains a continuous flow of air or inert gases to limit the entry of flammable mixtures into the enclosure by keeping the pressure of the shielding gas inside the enclosure higher than the ambient explosion-proof atmosphere pressure to safety. Remove the flammable gases that enter the housing when the equipment is not under positive pressure to prevent the formation of flammable mixtures in the housing.

3.Pouring type m
The electrical parts that may produce the spark, arc or dangerous temperature part that ignites the explosion of explosive mixture, are poured in the encapsulant (compound), so that it can not ignite the surrounding explosive mixture, adopt the pouring measures, can prevent the short circuit of electrical components, solidify the electrical insulation, avoid the spark on the circuit and the ignition of arc and dangerous temperature, prevent the invasion of explosive mixture, and control the surface temperature under normal and fault conditions.

4.Oil-filled o
The whole equipment or parts of the equipment are invaded in the oil I protective fluid l, so that it can not be ignited above the fuel level or outside the explosion-proof gas environment outside the shell.

5.Sand filling type Q
The protective type of electrical equipment in which the shell is filled with sand particles or other powder materials with specified characteristics, so that under the specified conditions of use, the arc or high temperature generated in the shell cannot ignite the surrounding explosive gas atmosphere.

Due to the different requirements for explosion-proof lamps in different environments, it is important not to choose explosion-proof lamps casually, but to choose the corresponding model according to specific requirements.
